Abstract: | Relationship between vitamin A and cholesterol has been reported 1-4. Wiss et al observed a reduction in cholesterol synthesis during vitamin A deficiency. Kinley and Krause noted a decrease in elevated serum cholesterol of atherosclerotic human patients following oral administration of high levels of Vitamin A. The same was also reported in chickens and rats 7-9, Misra 10 observed an increase in tissue cholesterol with intramuscular administration of high doses of Vitamin A |
