Report on Teeal, Agora and Hinari training-of-trainer workshop held in CSIR-INSTI, Accra from1st-3rd November 2011

Abstract

The report is on the course on TEEAL, AGORA and HINARI Training-of Trainer Workshop that was organized by Information Training and Outreach Centre for Africa, the FAO Regional Office for Africa, in collaboration with the CSIR Institute for Scientific and Technological Information from 1st – 3rd November 2011, at the CSIR-INSTI, Accra, Ghana. The workshop seeks to increase the quality and effectiveness of research and education in agriculture and related biological, environmental and social sciences, which would contribute toward improving food security in developing countries and encourage cross disciplinary collaboration between agriculture, health and the environment. The training would enable researchers, policy-makers, educators, librarians and extension specialists have access to high quality, relevant and timely information on agriculture, health and the environment via the Internet and external hard disk. Overall, Thirty (30) participants made up research scientists, librarians and lecturers from agricultural research institutes and faculties of agriculture in Ghana attended the E-Resources Training-of Trainers Workshop from 1st – 3rd November 2011
